Fully Formulated Aircraft Lavatory Fluid

LavFluid (LF) is a patented, complete, ready-to-use winterized lavatory flushing fluid, aka IceClear® LavFluid. Blue Juice LF represents a new class of environmentally friendly winterized lavatory fluids which consists of an aqueous solution of an aircraft toilet deodorant certified to SAE AMS 1476B and a biobased, non-glycol freeze point depressant. NOW AVAILABLE UTILIZING AN OPTIONAL W.H.O. COMPLIANT DEODORANT PACKAGE!

Blue Juice LF meets all the materials compatibility and corrosion requirements of AMS 1476B. Air Force Air Mobility Command Instruction 24-101, Vol. 10 authorizes the use of Blue Juice LavFluid.

Blue Juice LF was designed for aircraft use but is suitable for other market applications including rail, mass transit, marine, recreational vehicle and portable toilet applications. The unique features and benefits of Blue Juice LF make it an ideal alternative to traditional glycol based winterized lavatory fluids, especially for environmentally sensitive applications.

As part of the government's Federal Biobased Product Procurement Program (FB4P), LavFluid has a 100% biobased content as tested by ASTM D6866. Blue Juice LF is composed of natural ingredients based on abundant and renewable agricultural feedstock materials that are cost effective and readily available.

Blue Juice LF has been tested to OECD 310 with results showing it is "readily biodegradable" meaning that there is unequivocal evidence that Blue Juice LF is rapidly mineralized to inorganic components and biomass. Blue Juice LF also meets the definitions of "inherently biodegradable" and "ultimately biodegradable" meaning that there is a reasonable expectation that they will eventually be completely mineralized in aerobic environments.

Unlike ethylene glycol-based fluids, Blue Juice LF is nontoxic and non-hazardous to plant and animal life. Compared to propylene glycol, Blue Juice LF has a lower Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and biodegrades at a rate that is more environmentally friendly and less taxing on waste water treatment systems.
